WOMEN’S HISTORY DAY 4

Uncategorized

March is Women’s History Month and it’s an important time to celebrate the contributions of women to our society. It’s a time to reflect on the struggles women have faced throughout history and to reflect on the progress that has been made.

Women’s History Month is a time to honor the achievements of the women who have come before us and to recognize the challenges that still need to be addressed.

Women have been making significant contributions to society since the beginning of time. The first Women’s History Month was declared in 1981 by the United States Congress and it’s been celebrated annually ever since.

Now let’s look at some infamous women in Essex County who I personally had the pleasure of working with. I was reading an article in TAP into East Orange/Orange and saw this:

Medinah Muhammad, Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake. Medinah was always pleasant and professional when dealing with the diaper bank she coordinated our Proclaminations from 2016-2019.

Britnee N. Timberlake, the Assemblywoman representing East Orange, Orange, Clifton, and Montclair is the youngest state legislator in NJ. When I spoke at the Freeholders meeting Britanee took an interest in diaper need and introduced us to some people that could help and long-lasting relationships resulted.

Nadine Write-Arbubakrr, President and founder of Nassan’s Place. I first met Nadine at an event in So. Orange and she didn’t care that we were small she just handed us $20 and said keep up the good work and later we were able to supply donations for an event she was having.
